Bypassing or Clearing the Browser Cache

Bypassing the Cache

To bypass any copy of the page or page components in the browser cache when refreshing/reloading the page you need to do the following:

Clearing the Cache

In Internet Explorer go to Internet Options and click on the Delete Files option to clear out your browser cache. You can also click Clear History to clear the page history cache and with Internet Explorer closed; you might also take a look at Temporary Internet Files and delete any Cookies that you no longer require (eg. for sites you only visited once).

In Netscape go into Preferences then to Advanced - Cache and click on Clear Memory Cache and Clear Disk Cache to clear out your browser cache. You can also click Clear History on the Navigator page to clear the page history cache.

In Opera go into Preferences to the History and Cache page and click on Empty Now to clear out your browser cache.
