There is one further group of HTML tags that are neither block tags nor inline tags. Let's call these special tags.
This particular group of tags basically includes all of the objects that are to appear on a web page that are not text. Examples of this type of tag include img, object, input, select, and textarea.
One thing that all of these tags share in common is that netscape 4 doesn't recognise any stylesheet commands that reference any of these tags so you will need to take this into account when deciding whether to apply styles to these tags and what styles to apply. Netscape 4 is gradually becoming less important but there is still a small minority of people using this browser to view web pages today.
Apart from this restriction, these tags fall somewhere in between block and inline tags and most of the stylesheet commands that can be applied to block tags can also be applied to these special tags.
