Personal Web Pages is a simple web server that is supplied with Windows 98. With PWP installed on your computer you are able to check the web pages on your computer using the http://localhost/ domain instead of accessing the files directly. This will enable you to test some of the functionality of your pages that only works when the page is correctly processed from a web server.
To install PWP you need to insert your Windows 98 CD (unless you have a copy of the content of the CD on your hard drive). You then go through the Start menu and select the Run option. You then need to type in
where x is the drive letter for your CD drive (or the location of the partition hon your hard drive holding the copy of the CD). Finally select the OK button to run the install.
