Question: I cannot defrag my hard drive. It goes to 1 or 2% and then starts over. How can I fix this?
Answer: There must be something still running on your system that is writing to the hard drive. Every time it writes the defrag will start over. Shut down all the other programs you have running and then press CTRL-ALT-DEL to bring up the list of what background tasks are running. Shut down everything in the list except explorer and systray. Then run the defrag.
