When you create bulleted lists in Word you will notice that both the bullet and the following text will be indented relative to the unbulleted text that precedes and follows it. What you may not know is that you don't have to stick with the default indent distances but you can change it to suit the document.
To change the indents you first need to select the bullet and then go into the Format menu and select the
This will bring up a dialog box that has an option at the top that allows you to change the appearance of the bullet. Below this you will find two (or in Word 2003 - three) fields allowing you to adjust the indentation that is applied both to the bullet itself and also the following text.
