Last Modified not Working
Question: I just read about the "Last Modified Date" from your website. It is a very useful information. But when I pasted the code "javascript:alert(document.lastModified)" to the address bar, I just keep getting the current date and time. Is there something else I need to do in order to get the real last modified date of a web page. Thank you very much for your guide.

Answer: It depends on the configuration of the server that the page is being loaded from. If they have locked that field then it will display the current date and time instead. The fields on the server can only be locked in groups and this field often ends up being locked as a side effect of locking the server to prevent more sensitive information from being accessed.
