Copying and Pasting using the Mouse

It can be inconvenient to keep switching between the keyboard and the mouse. To make things easier, OS/2 provides a way for you to copy and paste text using only the mouse.

To do this you:

  1. hold down the left mouse button and drag the mouse across the text that you want to copy
  2. without releasing the left mouse button, click on the right mouse button. This copies the selected text to the clipboard
  3. move to where you want to paste the text and position the text cursor there by pressing the right mouse button
  4. while still holding down the right mouse button click on the left mouse button to insert the text from the clipboard

This method of copying and pasting text should work with most OS/2 applications. Note that it probably wont work with most DOS and windows applications running under OS/2.
