Question: I am currently building an HO scale railroad and want to put a few lift up track sections on hinges or slides for access. I have searched forever on some info or details on this , cant find. Any ideas or details. I am using flextrack. Thanks Gary Answer: The important things when setting up a hinged section of baseboard. - Make sure that the track is well secured to the lifting section.
- The hinges need to be raised above baseboard level so that they are above the track.
- You need a way to lock the opening end in place so that the track will line up.
- You may also want to set up the electrical wiring for the liftup section and a length either side to cut off power when the section is not locked down.
