Web Page Creation and Maintenance
We can create, maintain, and/or host your web site for you. Just check out our Standard Packages. We also have special pricing available to community groups and hobby clubs.
All web page creation fees shown include conversion of electronically supplied page content or scanning of supplied material. All typing involved in converting your supplied page content into web pages is included in the price but typing of your page content involves an additional charge.
Site maintenance includes making modifications to your web pages as supplied by you. These changes can include as much as 10% of the entire site provided that not more than 20% of the content of any one page is changed.
Our Basic web site includes a search facility and email form. With the exception of these interactive facilities all web page prices shown below are for static web pages (that can be updated monthly as part of our ongoing maintenance deal). Should you require dynamic or interactive web pages other than those specified then we will quote for these separately.
All web pages will be coded to meet specified coding and page size standards.
All payments mentioned on this page can either be made by cheque in Australian Dollars or via PayPal (which includes a credit card facility) in either Australian or US Dollars. All Australian dollar prices are inclusive of GST and US dollar prices are exclusive of GST (GST is only payable by residents of Australia so if you are outside Australia and paying in Australian dollars you can deduct 1/11 of the price). A 50% deposit is required for web site construction projects (payable after we accept the job), the remainder will be payable once the site construction is complete. Maintenance and hosting are payable in full in advance.
Standard Packages
All Inclusive Package - Creation, Maintenance, and Hosting
The following are our standard pricing for basic web site creation, hosting, and maintenance.
Basic web site package:
- $A1250 (or $US800) initial setup with .com.au domain name or
- $A1150 (or $US730) initial setup with .com domain name or
- $A125 (or $US715) initial setup with transfer of your existing domain name and
- $A125 (or $US80) per month ongoing hosting and maintenance paid 6 monthly in advance or
- $A175 (or $US110) per month paid monthly via Paypal.
Additional static web pages add $A125 (or $US80) per page setup cost and $A12 (or $US8) per month ongoing maintenance.
Typing of your web page content can be done for an additional $A60 (or $US38) per web page.
Creation Package Only
If you wish to organize your own domain and hosting then we can still create your site for you. In this case a basic web site is $A950 (or $US$600) to create. Additional static web pages add $A125 (or $US80) per page.
Typing of your web page content can be done for an additional $A60 (or $US38) per web page.
Maintenance Package Only
We can apply the necessary monthly updates to your existing web site for $A125 (or $US80) per month paid 6 monthly in advance or $A175 ($US110) per month paid monthly via Paypal. This covers a basic web site (or the first ten static pages if your site was created elsewhere). Additional web pages can be maintained for $A12 (or $US8) per month.
Where your site was created elsewhere and you wish for us to take on the maintenance there is a one off charge of $A490 (or $US320) to cover conversion of the site to meet our usability and page size restrictions. This charge will be waived if your existing site qualifies for one of our web site construction awards (Bronze award or better).
Specials
Does your club or community group need a web site but don't know where to start to get one. Well, we know that many such clubs and organisations don't have much money to spare to spend on such things as web sites so we are now offering special low prices to do it all for you. These special packages include web site creation, maintenance, and hosting all for one low price.
Community Groups
The following special prices are available to community groups such as Lions and Rotary that do community work.
Basic web site package:
- $A260 (or $US164) initial setup with .com.au domain name or
- $A125 (or $US80) initial setup with .com domain name or
- $A95 (or $US60) initial setup with transfer of your existing domain name and
- $A52 (or $US33) per month ongoing hosting and maintenance paid 6 monthly in advance or
- $A65 (or US41) per month paid monthly via Paypal.
Additional static web pages add $A25 (or $US16) per page setup cost and $A3 (or $US2) per month ongoing maintenance.
Typing of web page content can be done for an additional $A25 (or $US16) per web page.
Community groups may be asked to provide evidence of their status as a community group in order to obtain the above pricing.
Model Railway Clubs
The following special prices are available to Model Railway Clubs and Associations.
Basic web site package:
- $A388 (or $US246) initial setup with .com.au domain name or
- $A258 (or $US164) initial setup with .com domain name or
- $A227 (or $US144) initial setup with transfer of your existing domain name and
- $A65 (or $US41) per month ongoing hosting and maintenance paid 6 monthly in advance or
- $A77 (or US49) per month paid monthly via Paypal.
Additional static web pages add $A33 (or $US21) per page setup cost and $A3.25 (or $US2.05) per month ongoing maintenance.
Typing of web page content can be done for an additional $A39 (or $US25) per web page.
To be eligible for this rate all pages on the site must contain content appropriate for a model railway club.
Other Hobby Clubs
The following special prices are available to all other hobby clubs (not sporting clubs).
Basic web site package:
- $A452 (or $US287) initial setup with .com.au domain name or
- $A323 (or $US205) initial setup with .com domain name or
- $A291 (or $US185) initial setup with transfer of your existing domain name and
- $A77 (or $US49) per month ongoing hosting and maintenance paid 6 monthly in advance or
- $A96 (or US61) per month paid monthly via Paypal.
Additional static web pages add $A46 (or $US29) per page setup cost and $A3.25 (or $US2.05) per month ongoing maintenance.
Typing of web page content can be done for an additional $A46 (or $US29) per web page.
To be eligible for this rate all pages on the site must contain content appropriate for a hobby club.
Additional Info
Definition of a Basic Web Site
The above pricings include the creation, maintenance, and hosting of what we have called a "Basic Web Site". For the purposes of this pricing this is considered to consist of the following:
Creation
- Discussions with you regarding the overall design of your website and creation of a web page template for your web pages that defines the standard page layout.
- Conversion of content for the web site home page and up to five additional pages (as supplied by you) into web pages. This can be supplied either electronically or in a format suitable for scanning. There is an additional charge if the supplied material needs to be retyped.
- Scanning of any images to be used on those web pages and optimization of those images.
- Optimization of larger versions of any images that are linked to from any thumbnail images on your pages.
- A copy of our site search facility.
- A copy of our advanced email script along with basic "Contact Us" and "Thankyou" pages.
Maintenance
- Monthly updates to the web pages (as supplied by you). Updates not to exceed 20% of the content of any one page or 10% of the total static page content
Hosting
- Hosting of the site with a third party hosting service of our choice.
- Initial Registration of your domain name. (Renewals of the domain name will be charged at cost).
Standards and Sizes
All static web pages created will be validated to ensure that they comply with the W3C coding standards and that they are usable on at least the following browsers: IE 7, Firefox 3, Safari 3, and Opera 9.
In order to ensure that the web pages that we create will load quickly and efficiently and will be read by as many visitors as possible we have placed the following limits on how big web pages that we create can be and all of our pricing assumes the following limits on web page sizes.
- Each web page when printed will fit completely on no more that three A4 sheets of paper.
- The web page and all attached images, scripts, etc. is no more than 80k in total file size. Files shared between pages shall be included in the total size for each page (except in the rare instance where it is impossible for your visitor to access the page without first visiting another page that uses the file).
- Image gallery pages shall have 50 or fewer thumbnail images with larger copies attached.
